On Sunday, May 3rd (starting 10:00 AM), the evocative setting of Rama Beach will host “For Frankie,” the official tribute event dedicated to Frankie Knuckles, the father of House Music. Organized by Angels Of Love in direct collaboration with the Frankie Knuckles Foundation, the event is not just a musical celebration, but a concrete support project for the Foundation’s activities to honor Frankie’s indelible legacy. The “For Frankie” lineup brings together heavyweights of the international House scene, linked to Knuckles by artistic journeys and decades-long friendships. Leading the lineup will be console host David Morales, the legendary DJ and producer who shared Frankie’s entire life journey. The Grammy winner is renowned for transforming pop songs into club hits, creating over 500 remixes for world-renowned artists such as Mariah Carey, Michael Jackson, Madonna, and U2. Morales will alternate with Marshall Jefferson, the “father” of Chicago House, whose songs like “Ride The Rhythm” and “Move Your Body,” along with Frankie’s remixes, paved the way for modern dancefloor music. Also performing in Naples for the first time will be Celeda, the iconic voice behind songs that have become intangible heritage of house music, such as “Music Is The Answer,” an anthem of belonging and community that perfectly reflects Frankie’s vision: music as an answer and an embrace that makes you feel never alone. Coming straight from New York, Lenny Fontana, the keeper of the emotional dialogue that gave rise to hits like “Chocolate Sensation,” will bring the warmth of the Sound Factory Bar. Making his debut with Angels Of Love, Elbert Phillips, Frankie’s longtime resident in the magical city of Chicago, will also perform. The lineup will also be rounded out by Neapolitan DJs from the AOL Crew, DJ SIMI, DJ FIORE, JG BROS, and DAPULEO. “For Frankie” was conceived as an open and inclusive moment of conviviality, starting in the morning and embracing different generations. Admission, starting at 10:00 a.m., is free for children up to 13 years old, and a secure, dedicated Kids’ Area has been set up to allow parents to experience the event in complete peace, enjoy a day at the beach, and take advantage of the dedicated Street Food Areas.”
