HÏ Ibiza media team said:”Black Coffee’s highly anticipated residency returns to take over Saturday nights at Hï Ibiza in 2026, renewing a partnership that has become a symbol of the island and its influence on contemporary electronic music. From 2 May to 3 October, the union between one of today’s most important artists and the world’s number one club, as voted by readers of DJ Mag since 2022, will begin a new chapter in a story that is now pivotal to Ibiza’s musical identity. Now in his eighth season as a Hï Ibiza resident, Black Coffee returns in one of the strongest artistic moments of his career, reaffirming a partnership that has grown in parallel: as the South African DJ and producer brought his sound to international stages and defined his own musical language, Hï Ibiza cemented its position as a global benchmark for modern club culture.

Black Coffee stands as a singular figure in electronic music. His blend of African roots, Afropolitan sensibility and decades-honed musical intuition positioned him as a pioneer of Afro House long before it entered global consciousness. He became the first African artist to win the GRAMMY® for Best Dance/Electronic Album for Subconsciously (2021), a milestone that solidified his role as a global ambassador for African sounds. His career spans collaborations with Alicia Keys, Usher, Pharrell Williams and Drake, sold-out international tours and a creative universe that extends into fashion, design and entrepreneurship. He has appeared on the cover of GQ, collaborated with Virgil Abloh and AMIRI, developed award-winning interior design projects and runs his own streetwear brand, YAWA. His appearances on NPR Tiny Desk, Cercle and The Daily Show reflect an impact that goes far beyond music.

The relationship between Black Coffee and Hï Ibiza began in 2017, the club’s inaugural year. Founded on a visionary belief that Ibiza was ready for a new sound, embodied by a new headline resident DJ and tastemaker. This collaboration has grown to become one of the island’s defining residencies: sophisticated, emotional and deeply connected to the dancefloor, embraced by an international audience that understands music as a transformative journey. His Afropolitan sound has shaped the identity of Hï Ibiza’s Saturdays, where each session becomes an intimate exploration of tradition, innovation and contemporary sensitivity. The Theatre transforms into a stage where music comes alive with a magnetism few nights in Ibiza can match.

Complementing his artistic influence is his social commitment through the Black Coffee Foundation, dedicated to supporting education and inclusion for young people and individuals with disabilities, alongside his current project of building a music school in South Africa. His cultural impact was further recognised in 2025 by Billboard, which named him African Power Player of the Year, highlighting his role as a creator expanding the continent’s cultural footprint through an ever-evolving artistic vision.

Black Coffee’s vision extends beyond the dancefloor: each season he invites visual artists, filmmakers and creative talents from across the African art scene to shape the iconographic universe of the residency. Together, they build a visual language that reinvents itself every year, connecting cultures and enriching the artistic dimension of his nights at Hï Ibiza while redefining the dialogue between music, art and community. This creative integration has turned his Saturdays into an experience that surpasses the traditional concept of clubbing and celebrates the cultural diversity of the African continent.

It is no coincidence that Saturday nights at Hï Ibiza are synonymous with Black Coffee. His residency has achieved something few nights on the island can claim: becoming a destination for those seeking emotional intensity, sonic sophistication and a form of clubbing lived as a journey. His ability to build deep, evocative atmospheres has shaped an aesthetic that is now part of the club’s DNA. More than a succession of dates, the residency is a true collaboration between the pioneering producer and Yann Pissenem (Owner, Founder & CEO of The Night League) and their shared mission to create a space where musical excellence meets creative freedom, expanding the story shared between artist, club and audience night after night.

Hï Ibiza continues to push boundaries with cutting-edge programming, three state-of-the-art rooms, open-air terraces and a design that prioritises multisensory immersion. Next summer, Hï Ibiza and Black Coffee will unveil a renewed production, new visual languages and a creative narrative that will elevate the experience into even more immersive territory. The programming will once again bring together some of the most forward-thinking artists in electronic music, reinforcing Saturdays as an essential destination for those seeking inspiration, movement and a glimpse into the future of club culture.

From 2 May to 3 October, Saturdays in Ibiza once again carry a single name: Black Coffee, an invitation to step into the deep, beating heart of the dancefloor”

Welcome back Black Coffee!
