[UNVRS] media team said:” Following a first season that left a lasting mark on the island, Carl Cox returns to [UNVRS] in 2026, reaffirming his connection with Ibiza through a lens firmly focused on the present and the future. From 21st June to 4th October, one of the most influential figures in electronic music will once again take control of Sunday nights, leading 16 dates that celebrate the dancefloor, club culture, and the unique sense of unity that only Ibiza can generate.
To speak of Carl Cox is to speak of authenticity and a lifelong dedication to electronic music built over decades. A defining force in house and techno, a pioneer of three-deck mixing, hybrid performances and real-time improvisation, his influence transcends trends and generations. A tireless advocate for vinyl, underground culture and dancefloor-first experiences, Carl Cox remains one of the most respected and universally loved artists in global electronic music, recognised throughout his career with countless lifetime achievements.
More than a residency, Carl Cox’s nights at [UNVRS] are a tribute to what has always made Ibiza special: relentless energy, the connection between artist and crowd, and a deep sense of community that emerges when music is truly at the centre of everything. Supported by cutting-edge technology and the venue’s innovative production, these nights do not look back nostalgically at Ibiza’s past, but instead reaffirm its relevance as the global epicentre of contemporary electronic music culture.
Carl Cox’s much-anticipated arrival at [UNVRS] in 2025 marked the beginning of a new chapter in Ibiza’s recent nightlife history. Sunday after Sunday, the residency became an essential ritual, defined by marathon sets that stretched into sunrise as daylight filtered through the club’s windows. Throughout the season, the booth welcomed exceptional guests such as The Chemical Brothers, Paul Kalkbrenner (live) and Maceo Plex, alongside memorable B2B performances with PAWSA and The Martinez Brothers. The residency also saw Skepta and his Más Tiempo collective take over Wild Comet, adding another layer to a series filled with unforgettable moments.
The impact of that first season was recognised across the industry. The Carl Cox residency received the Best Ibiza Party award at the Vicious Music Awards by Ingresse, while Cox himself was named DJ of the Year at the Golden Moon Awards. At the same ceremony, [UNVRS] was also awarded Most Innovative Nightlife Project and No.1 Club in the World by the International Nightlife Association.
For 2026, Carl Cox expands his presence on the island with an even more ambitious season. In addition to playing special open-to-close sets for his residency’s opening party and closing party, he will curate a carefully selected lineup of guest artists that reflects his open, forward-thinking approach to house and techno. A programme designed specifically for the dancefloor, where established names and emerging talent coexist under one guiding principle: the music always comes first.
Reflecting on his return to [UNVRS] and the significance of the upcoming season, Carl Cox says:
“My first year at [UNVRS] was incredible. Spending 14 weeks back on the island after so long, and picking up where I left off with Space, felt like coming home. I want my involvement in clubland to leave a legacy, to share the love of music, and there was no better place to do that.
The club itself is outstanding: the sound is incredible, the production flawless, and the main room is beautifully designed. I love the balance between VIPs and General Admission, and the fact that it’s not just one big main room, there’s lots of rooms to explore, which makes it fun.
Playing alongside so many DJs was a highlight. The diversity of artists we booked was incredible; from The Chemical Brothers, PAWSA, Sven Väth, Dennis Cruz, and Loco Dice, the list goes on. Every night was special, but playing alongside Vintage Culture and ANNA stands out for me – that was a really beautiful night. And of course, my birthday weekend, playing solo from doors opening at 10:30 until closing at 6 was unforgettable.
This year I’ll be back for a longer 16‑week season. I’ll be doing the opening and closing parties just myself, pure Carl Cox at [UNVRS]. But in between there’ll be lots of amazing DJs joining me. We’ll be asking some of the DJs from this year to come back, and we have lots of new DJs coming through which I’m really excited about. Plus we have some really special guests planned too, which I can’t disclose at the moment.
It’s been an amazing opportunity to return and play Ibiza again. I’m grateful to be back on the island, and I’m excited for 2026 to be another pivotal chapter in my Ibiza story.”
