Ethereal, the cult event, is back: the appointment is scheduled at Nagai Ibiza!

The organizers said:” In its fourth year of reinvention, Ethereal keeps going strong and expressing the shared love for art and music, kicking off the winter season at one of its primary Ibiza venues: the charming Nagai Ibiza. In line with the energy of the north of the White Isle, Ethereal’s opening party on Sunday 31 October 2021 kicks off with a resurrection theme, an imaginative masquerade parade, and a wicked mix of musical, visual and kinaesthetic artists, to bust open the doors of perception with the original spirit of Ibiza. After successful collaborations with Cova Santa, its Ethereal Festival at Las Dalias and even its Jungle Edition at Koh Phangan Thailand in February 2020 on its Ibiza World Tour, the vibrant Ethereal is back with one of its latest and greatest incarnations: the Ethereal Art Lab, combining arty musical soundscapes, visuals and food, for a full-on ceremony of artistic displays with a massive wave of dazzling artists:
To start of the winter season, guest artists and established resident DJs, as well as live acts, will join forces with an emphasis on quality. An original live acoustic electronic vocal set by M&M will bring to life a soundscape for the luxury a la carte Asian fusion lunch with a complete menu until 5:00 pm, by reservation only.
To kick off the winter on Sunday 31 October, Ethereal delivers a powerful line-up from the get-go. Amongst the island’s greatest exports, Iban Mendoza will be playing live with a blend of his finest tunes for the opening event.
Ethereal regulars and island-favourites, the deeply evocative Medusa Odyssey will be playing live. The Ibiza-based duo use synthesizers, electric guitar, flutes, vocals and drum machines to craft a dreamy ethnic sound unlike any other.
Another island and Ethereal, the professionally trained pianist and vocalist Maricha will contribute her unique fusion of her own live vocals, deep house, afro-house, downtempo and chill-rave that she calls “intelligent dance.” She is loved for her dreamlike sets at intimate sunset parties as much as her wild dance energy on larger dance floors captivating massive crowds. Resident DJ Edoardo Marvaso, a part of the Ethereal family from the start, will also be on the decks. Inspired by the musical lushness of the island, the Ibiza-based DJ combines modern electronica and vintage grooves, mixing techno with house both in his productions and DJ sets. Working in electronic music since 2000, when he launched his own record label and started touring the world, the music producer and DJ has also been the mind behind the first editions of Sonica festival, the first-ever electronic music festival in Italy. Now he is also in charge of the Ethereal record label and booking agency. On top of his residencies on Ibiza, he has been a regular guest at international events such as Glastonbury Festival, Universo Paralello, Voov Experience, Fusion Festival, Rainbow Serpent, Creamfields, Boom, Glade, as well as releasing tracks on Vapour, Tropical Beats, 7 Oz, SFS Music, Sweep 181 Quanticman and Nuhar.
Staying true to its ethos, Ethereal also continues making its artistic contribution to the island. Visually, the event once again presents a brilliant collection of artists, curated by artistic director Rossano Poletti who brings another esclusive vernissage of international artists.
The astonishing Victor Spinelli returns for the opening, too. Most famous for his art work capturing the legendary Ibiza party Manumission between 2001–2006 in his famous Manumission Reflections, he has also exhibited his work at Burning Man. Displayed around the world both in private estates and museums, his work focuses on the challenges that humanity is currently facing. The multi-media artist has been praised by Quentin Tarantino and featured in major publications the likes of Vogue, ELLE, Marie Claire, Glamour and many more.The Argentinean-born, Ibiza-based, German started his career tattooing and painting in1993. After studying interior design, architecture and digital programming he created his own form of art, drawing inspiration from travelling to 26 countries. His latest passion is street art.
Visual artist Behzad Behpour, with his remarkable penchant for perspective, creates artwork that is both beautiful and entertaining. Bursting with emotion, his craft is varied yet all attention-grabbing. Behzad’s art, including large scale pieces painted live, has been on display in New York, Hamburg, Ibiza and the annual Jazz Festival.
Also displaying her work, the Ibiza native Rocio Ferrer has always been in close contact with the beauty and nature of the island. Having discovered her passion of art at an early age, she then travelled and worked in cities around the world. While in Hong Kong, she decided to return to her origins and reconnect with her inner child. After returning to her beloved island in 2020, she has been able to dedicate her energy fully to her biggest passion: art. The result includes her feminine nudes, with energetic lines and captivating colours, plus more than a touch of autobiographical elements in all her work.
The fascinating work of Laura Perrotta and Sara Fenix will also be on display. In the kinaesthetic realm, Ethereal brings in sensational dancers and performers to enchant you with a series of live shows. The event carries on its successful collaboration with Nagai, winner of the World Luxury Restaurants Awards for best Japanese restaurant in southern Spain for four consecutive years in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020, as well as a Repsol Award in 2021. This charismatic venue consistently creates the ideal site for the imaginative party.
Having already made a name for itself for creating a genuine space for artists and guests alike to share their dreams and individuality, Ethereal runs from 12:00 noon until late on Sunday 31 October 2021 and welcomes everyone open arms, including the children who can enjoy the Kids Area from the start while parents enjoy the event.
