Pilot test at Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza will welcome 1,500 people and will have a limited dance area!

The Balearic Government and the Leisure Association of Ibiza (AOI) have agreed on the conditions of the pilot test that will be held at Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza  (in the picture below) with its emblematic event Children of the 80’s on June 25th, as a test to advance in the de-escalation of the sector on the island.

These measures contemplate a maximum capacity of 2,000 people, however, to guarantee the proper functioning of the event, it has been decided to reduce the capacity to 1,500 and the use of a mask will be mandatory at all times. The venue will have a limited dance area and the consumption of drinks must always be at the table. The event will begin at seven in the afternoon and will end at twelve at night.

In gratitude for their work in the hardest phase of the pandemic, Ocio de Ibiza will provide a list of invitations to various work centers on the island that must be completed by essential workers who want to attend the test. The invitation will be nominal, personal and non-transferable. “They deserve it. It goes for them. We owe them a lot ”, highlights the manager of the Ibiza Leisure Association, José Luis Benítez, who adds that entry to the event will be completely free. “With the desire that there is, we will cover the entire capacity with the essential workers. We think the public will understand. We have sent the invitations to the majority work centers, such as the hospital or delegations of the State Security Forces and Bodies, among others, if there are places available, we will open a website where more essential workers from other branches can sign up, we know that many groups have been on the front line during the pandemic. I can only tell the general public that Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza will hold more events when this season is authorized”explains Benítez.

Operational and hygienic-sanitary measures for the event:

All attendees must include their personal data and notify if they are vaccinated (with one or two doses) or if they have a negative PCR carried out 72 hours in advance or if they have passed the coronavirus. People who do not meet any of these three requirements must undergo an antigen test hours before the start of the event at a designated place near the venue. Personnel from the Emergency Staff company, specialized in health security in recreational environments, will carry out the tests. Once this test has been carried out, a ticket will be generated with a QR code that will be used to access the event.   Access to the enclosure will be done in a staggered manner to avoid crowds. The entrance ticket will indicate to the public the time to access the event. Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza will have sufficient security personnel in order to ensure compliance with security protocols and, at the same time, to avoid the formation of large groups.   Although the risk of contagion is lower in open spaces, all the hygienic sanitary measures agreed with the Balearic Government will be implemented, such as temperature measurement, the installation of hydroalcoholic gel dispensers, as well as the obligation to wear a mask that can only be remove to drink. In this regard, a specific area will be set up so that the public can purchase the drink at the bar without crowds and access a limited space with tables where the drink can be ingested.   There will also be a dance area with differentiated access and exit points in which consumption will not be allowed. This space will also be controlled directly by access controllers. Likewise, there will be availability of masks in the bar for clients who demand it and continuous cleaning of bathrooms.   Likewise, the collaboration of the public order forces has been requested to avoid crowds both at the beginning and at the end of the event outside the venue.   “The pilot test aims to show that leisure activity can be resumed with the application of preventive measures. It is a priority to show that a regulated entertainment venue offers more sanitary guarantees than a clandestine party without any security measures. We must prepare the return of the activity to stop uncontrolled leisure ”, points out the manager of the Ibiza Leisure Association.

So, save the date and let’s wait for good news!
