Today Ibiza by Night moves to Barcelona to talk about the cult party that takes place on Monday night: Memento XS at Macarena!
After almost one year and half monitoring Memento Record nights in Barcelona we can say that one of the most underground (small) parties in Europe is named MEMENTO XS.
Db artists group (click here for more info) formed by Idriss Dib (founder), Jasmin Jost (CEO) and Marta Romanato (logistic manager) manages Memento Records and follows the events weekly booking.

The organizers said:”We built up a promo strategy how to reach a very selective part of Barcelona crowd, who is looking for an intellectual moment not based just on handz up in the air but on listening music and telling a different story every monday night.“
The label honcho Idriss D usually plays once a month by himself and manages alongside Macarena crew every Monday night from sound over visuals to the door selection with Marcos and Tristan.
Memento exists since 2006 with the promise that every release comes out on vinyl. The labels music is spread hrough many clubs around the world.
The artists/DJ’s names on the label are involved in the active life of the label, releases, remixes and shows.
Memento XS at Macarena happens in a such small place (100pax) that there is no money to be earned.
The philosophy behind is paying off the costs to create something unique and use it like a promotional night for underground DJ’s to keep building up a solid fan base.
Macarena club is the perfect place, known as one of the best micro clubs in the planet and managed by the great duo Ivan Domingo and Gustavo Ferrer (in the picture below) who work so hard to keep the club open 7/7 all the year selecting the best Underground labels to involve in the programming.
