The Night League media team said:”Some nights are built around a sound that engulfs the dancefloor like an atmosphere, some realise a concept to be explored like a new landscape, and others unite both in a seamless experience which is Francis Mercier Presents Solèy. A new residency at Hï Ibiza is conceived as a sensory and multicultural journey, turning Mondays into a weekly celebration of sounds united from all corners of the world. From 1st June to 5th October, the Haitian DJ and producer will lead 19 dates, commanding a new chapter in the programming of the World’s No.1 Club (as named by DJ Mag for the fourth consecutive year in 2025).
Solèy, which means sun in Haitian Creole, is a global community rooted in multiculturalism. It symbolizes positivity, radiance, and warmth, and its sounds are an ode to the Levant, Africa, and the Caribbean. Francis Mercier’s sound is born precisely from this crossroads. Born and raised between Haiti and New York, with his music resonating deeply with Africa and the Middle East, his sonic identity connects cultures, sounds, and generations – blending African and Caribbean roots with Arabic, Latin, and European influences into a vibrant, energetic, and organic house music language.
This vision, shaped by years of observing Ibiza as the epicenter of global club culture long before ever stepping behind its booths, naturally aligns with the spirit of Hï Ibiza as a space where global scenes meet and evolve. His sets do not seek immediate impact, but rather sustained connection: long-form journeys of ethnic grooves and a widely relatable energy that flows from the booth to the dancefloor as a universal language.
With Solèy, the show experience extends beyond just a DJ set. Live instruments such as guitar and djembe, alongside choreographed dance performances, are woven into the narrative of each show, adding layers of cultural and physical expression. Each night is thoughtfully designed so that the music is not only heard, but seen, felt, and remembered from within.
Now established as a global movement, Solèy has travelled to some of the world’s most iconic locations, from KOKO London and L’Olympia Paris to Ushuaïa Dubai, Zamna Tulum, Los Angeles, and the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt. In every destination, Solèy adapts to its local cultural surroundings while retaining its African and Caribbean essence.
As the founder of Deep Root Tribe, Mercier has played a key role in the global expansion of Afro house. His creative platform has championed new talent and built an international community that prioritises artistic identity, cultural roots, and emotion over fleeting trends. His globally renowned hits “Sauti”, “Premier Gaou (Nitefreak Remix)”, and “Kamili”, as well as his entire discography, have collectively surpassed over 500 million streams, with each release embodying the same philosophy: music deployed to reach all cultures and corners of the world.
Reflecting on his arrival in Ibiza and the meaning of presenting Solèy at Hï Ibiza, Francis Mercier says:
“To be able to hold a residency in Ibiza, and most importantly at Hï Ibiza, feels surreal; it feels like a dream come true. It’s also a big cultural statement for me to be able to bring a brand rooted in Caribbean culture, with the sound that it represents, on such a big platform. I’m really excited to introduce new artists, but also to pay homage to legends and artists that have marked the industry and house scene, especially the Afro house scene. It’s going to be a mix of cultures and a mix of generations. It should be something really exciting that hasn’t been done before, with an incorporation of live musicians and dancers that’ll be something quite special.”
With Francis Mercier Presents Solèy, The Night League adds a new dimension to Hï Ibiza’s programming: an experience that connects cultures, elements, and emotion through music. A weekly ritual where sound becomes a shared language and the dancefloor a common ground, reaffirming Ibiza as a place where the world unites, moves together, and recognises itself.”
