Rumors media team said: “Globally renowned DJ and producer Guy Gerber announces his return to Ibiza with a new RUMORS residency at Cova Santa, taking over Wednesday nights across the summer season. The residency will run on May 20, June 17 and 24, July 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29, and August 5, 19, and 26, bringing his internationally revered event series back to one of the island’s most atmospheric venues, continuing a 13-year legacy of RUMORS residencies in Ibiza.
Long synonymous with Ibiza’s spirit of creative freedom, RUMORS has become one of the island’s most influential and enduring party concepts, known for its immersive atmosphere, eclectic lineups, and boundary-pushing approach to electronic music. Set against the hillside between Ibiza Town and Sant Josep, Cova Santa offers a unique open-air environment where nature, music, and culture intersect, making it a natural home for Gerber’s world-building approach.
A defining force in Ibiza’s modern club culture, Gerber has previously hosted game-changing residencies on the island, with RUMORS evolving into a global platform spanning events, label releases, and multidisciplinary creative expression. Known for hypnotic, emotionally driven sets that blur the line between electronic music and live instrumentation, his performances continue to explore the tension between dancefloor energy and real-life experience.
The residency arrives during a landmark period for Gerber. On May 16, just days before the Ibiza opening, Rumors Chinatown Block Party will return to Gin Ling Way in Los Angeles, celebrating 10 years of the event series in the city with Guy Gerber & Friends. Beyond music, Gerber has also expanded further into the art world with his SEPARATE WAYS exhibitions in New York and Los Angeles, reflecting a broader creative vision that continues to inform his work across disciplines.
The announcement follows the release of Gerber’s new Misirlou EP, which introduces a bold new sonic direction in his work. Blending surf-inspired guitar textures, rockabilly undertones, and cinematic songwriting with electronic production, the EP marks a creative evolution that will carry into his Ibiza sets this summer.
Looking ahead, Gerber is building toward a new live show concept and a full-length album expected later this year. As his sound and artistic identity continue to evolve, the Ibiza residency stands as a central platform for this next chapter, bringing together new music, new ideas, and the core spirit that has defined RUMORS from the beginning.”
