For one day only, chunky groove specialist Sidney Charles is bringing his disruptive Heavy House Society label to 528 Ibiza for an unadulterated night of pure, no-frills underground grooves. Joining the contemporary tastemaker from 4- 11 pm on Sunday, 1st June, up in the Benimussa Hills will be Alisha, Job de Jong, jWave, Locky, Mad.Again, and Joss Dean. Charles is no stranger to Ibiza. Whenever the German artist plays, he serves up seriously punchy underground sounds for serious heads, and has done so at cult places like Amnesia, Cova Santa and DC10 to sold-out dance floors. His raw and authentic style is all about low-end weight, muscular grooves and full-bodied bass that demands a physical reaction. It is lovingly referred to by fans as “The Sidney Sound” whether he’s playing deep, tech or somewhere in between, so expect all of that and more when he steps up for this exclusive set.
Charles will be playing b2b with Alisha, an ever-rising force in the underground with tight, stripped-back and groove-led sounds on labels like the cult Eastenderz. After that comes Dutchman Job de Jong with his 90s tinged house sound and raw rhythms. He plays B2B with jWave, another new school star who brings edgy house energy and minimal flavours. The final b2b sees innovators Locky and Mad.Again square off for a set that crosses genre boundaries with a tasteful, relentless mix of house, breaks, bass and tech. House upstart Joss Dean completes the line-up having already made his mark at places like Amnesia.”
